Growing tired of rolling up your yoga mat and having it half stick out of your gym bag and fall into the snow? (Maybe that’s just me!)
That’s why I was pretty jazzed to get the chance to try out this gorgeous yoga bag from Dusky Leaf, a Canadian yoga gear company that make mats, bags and all other yoga goodies with an environmentally sensitive mission!
I have a few requirements in a yoga bag. One is that’s it fairly small. I’m usually lugging a purse, a child, groceries and a dog all over the place on my way to yoga so adding something bulky (other than my mat) isn’t where I’m at.
The kicker is, I like my yoga bags to hold stuff while being small. I haven’t had much luck in this department until I met the Dusky Leaf bag. Usually yoga bags are big and fit everything (child included) or they are a strap or bag so small that I have trouble fitting my extra long mat it in, let alone “extras.”
With the Dusky Leaf Natural Matsak Yoga Bag, there are 2 zippered compartments one for your mat and one for your life stuff, like gym pass, money, wallet and keys. Now I can leave my purse at home without worry about all my valuables rattling around in the nether regions of my yoga bag. They have a nice neat place and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the function of this bag, not just how it looks.
Looks? Did someone say looks? Any yoga bag worth spending money on better be as good looking as it is functional. This Dusky Leaf yoga bag is made out of a beautiful, thick, natural canvas (it also comes in black) that is extremely sturdy without being stiff and has some fanatic zippers that don’t get stuck. (I had child tester go to town on the zippers, if she can’t snag them then no one can
The last detail I really loved about the bag were the side grommets. If you’ve ever met my husband’s hockey bag, you’ll know why these are so important. I haven’t seen a lot of grommets on smaller, low profile yoga bags and this was a delightful addition to an already stand out bag.
